I love that the first three Persona protagonists have got certain habits.
Boy with Earring is very often depicted with the habit of touching his face in the manga. Kaneko also depicted him like this in one of his artworks which was probably the basis for this pose.
Tatsuya when lost in thoughts or if he stands around for a while will get out his lighter.
Maya has the habit to touch her earlobe if she stands around for a while and is lost in thoughts.
This is kinda realistic since everyone has habits like this.
I touch my face a lot as well when lost in thoughts (my mother always criticized this) or I touch my right earlobe and play with my earring.
